摘要: This study is to determine total mercury in edible tissues of eight species cephalopods and 12 crustaceans purchased from 11 identified major fish landing ports wet markets throughout Peninsular Malaysia. The concentration was measured by cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) technique using the Perkin Elmer Flow Injection Mercury System (FIMS-400). In general, levels were low with concentrations ranging 0.099 2.715 mg/kg dry weight (or 0.0184–0.505 weight) 0.057 1.359 0.0111–0.265 weight). showed no significant differences (P > 0.05) between for both crustaceans. There correlation body size individual groups as well. Comparisons obtained found other previous studies and/or noted that they same magnitude or relatively compared various locations reported worldwide.
