摘要: Abstract Cu–Ti intermetallic compounds are usually prepared by solid-solid Cu/Ti diffusion couples. However, we offer a rather unique approach to prepare phases simply mixing Cu and Ti powders heating them at 1373 K. Typical CuTi2, CuTi Cu4Ti3 profusely formed. Intermetallic stoichiometry, morphology the sequence of nucleation growth between discussed in detail. Meanwhile, pertinent properties, such as hardness fracture toughness characterized. It is believed technique may pave way for faster production alloys with fine-tuned properties.
