摘要: Although the genes sequentially transcribed in mammalian embryo prior to implantation have been identified, understanding of molecular processes ensuring this transcription is still development. The genomes sperm and egg are hypermethylated, hence transcriptionally silent. Their union, prepared environment egg, initiates their epigenetic genomic reprogramming into a totipotent zygote, which genome gradually becomes activated.
