摘要: Seventy-four biopsies of human bladder carcinoma were assessed by implantation as xenografts in immune-deprived mice and/or culture cell suspensions agar or methylcellulose. The quality the was immediately after plating vitro . results compared with pathological stage and grade clinical course disease patients from whom obtained. We found that ( a ) progressively growing generated 20 53 (38%). These grew mean volume doubling times range 1 to 3 weeks; all them examined histologically consistent transitional carcinoma. b Colony formation occurred 21 49 (43%), efficiency 0.0004 1.7%. majority have residual small clusters cells. sometimes originated these clusters, an effect would be expected introduce artifacts when vivo cloning assay is used for chemosensitivity testing. c There no evident correlation between expression clonal growth success xenografting, either experimental procedures stage, grade, disease. Further improvements tissue xenograft technology will required before methods can guide patient management.
