摘要: Large volume of sludge is generated at the water treatment plants during purification surface for potable supplies. Handling and disposal require careful attention from civic bodies, plant operators, environmentalists. Quantification produced important to develop suitable management strategies its economical environment friendly disposal. Present study deals with quantification using empirical relation between turbidity, suspended solids, coagulant dosing. Seasonal variation has significant effect on raw quality received so forth generation also varies. Yearly production in a Ghaziabad, India, estimated be 29,700 ton. Sustainable such quantity challenging task under stringent environmental legislation. Several beneficial reuses civil engineering constructional work have been identified globally as material manufacturing cement, bricks, artificial aggregates, cementitious material, sand substitute preparing concrete mortar. About 54 60% sand, 24 28% silt, 16% clay constitute investigation. Characteristics are found potential utilization locally available construction safe An overview sustainable scenario involving presented.
