摘要: Excitation spectra of photon-stimulated ion desorption (PSID) and total photoelectron yield at C K, N O K absorption edges are reported compared with appropriate published the gas phase. Analyses PSID based on three-step Knotek-Feibelman process result in identification Auger-generated ionic dissociative states which consistent results gas-phase electron-energy-loss studies. The molecular state is shown to involve two valence-level holes one excited-state electron several cases. most prominent feature all solid-phase identified photogenerated 1s\ensuremath{\rightarrow}${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\mathrm{*}}$ excitation observed three K-absorption both spectra. This resonance a single peak ${\mathrm{N}}_{2}$, CO, ${\mathrm{O}}_{2}$ solids, but split solid ${\mathrm{N}}_{2}$O by 3.9 eV NO 1.3 eV. In splitting due inequivalence nitrogen atoms, while it intermolecular charge transfer dimers, composed. energies found be smaller ${\mathrm{N}}_{2}$ 0.4 0.7 eV, gases. Spectrally dependent fragmentation patterns presented available data photodissociative ionization.
