摘要: The aim of this case-control study was to determine the utility evaluation changes in serum thyroglobulin (Tg) levels before and after 1311 diagnostic total body scan (TBS) patients with thyroid cancer predict efficacy radioiodine ablation. Among 134 consecutive differentiated carcinoma (DTC) who had undergone a thyroidectomy TBS prior ablation, we selected those subjects no evidence distant metastases two assessments Tg ablation within period four weeks. With selection procedure 27 (22 papillary five follicular carcinomas) were included our evaluation. therapy considered successful when performed one year treatment did not show any or less than 1% cervical 131I uptake, remained below 3 ng/mL, clinical instrumental examinations negative for presence relapses. These criteria divided into subsets: residual tissue. majority unsuccessful showed an increase levels, while most steady decrease concentrations. Statistical analysis evidenced that related (P > = 0.01). By contrast, rate remnants uptake relationship outcome therapy. group increasing relative risk 3.3 ablative compared stable decreasing levels. This supports concept by monitoring undergo it is possible obtain useful information about
