摘要: The present study was undertaken to follow the development of capability produce adult-like fast and precise movements reaching visual targets, during childhood. A two-dimensional task used. We focussed on pre-planning capabilities, by instructing subjects as possible, preventing corrections after initiation movement. information processing accurate motor response production were assessed measuring reaction time (RT, elapsed between target presentation movement onset), (MT, onset end) precision (correlation extent direction with distance direction). One child (male) tested repeatedly since age 6 until 9. At 7, RTs decreased. 8, accuracy increased, a temporary decrease at 7. Both RT eventually reached adult level. MTs similar ones right from beginning they never changed significantly. results confirmed in four groups five children each, aged 6, 8 9, respectively. control group adults also tested. It is concluded that, become capable quickly producing uncorrected trajectories based upon proprioceptive only, like those typical adults, shortening improving precision, while maintaining throughout. reacting acting `Go’ signal (measured RT) that program an trajectory achieved) appear not be developmentally linked, former earlier, latter later.
