Linear and nonlinear optical properties of the optical fiber doped with silicon nano-particles

摘要: Abstract We report for the first time realization of optical fiber doped with silicon nano-particles. Silica glass fibers incorporated nano-particles were fabricated by modified chemical vapor deposition and solution doping technique. found that a broadband absorption appeared at 450–1300 nm photoluminescence band 600–1100 nm upon pumping Ar-ion laser, indicating successfully in core. also estimated third-order nonlinearity measuring fringe shift obtained from long-period gratings laser 477 to 512 nm. Importantly 1550 nm was be ∼1.5 × 10 −15  m 2 /W we believe this large is caused exciton particles.
