摘要: This paper is a part of research aiming at preparing biodegradable films containing gelatin and Carica papaya extract for wound healing purposes in rats. leaves were collected extracted using methanol aqueous method (20% methanol: 80% water). Eleven (F1–F11) (0–500) (1000 mg) prepared investigated selected vitro parameters which include pH, thickness, folding endurance, water absorption capacity, tensile strength released studies. Increasing concentrations the added dropped pH value from 7.3 ± 0.1 to 5.2 0.1. Blank film had highest thickness (22.8 0.9 µm). Folding endurance increased significantly (p<0.05) both blank composite films. In values 122.7 3.5 – 187.6 while ones 232.0 8.8 258.3±2.5. Tensile with increasing addition 100.4 3.4 N/cm 2 191.5 3.6 . contrast, within decreased 332.8 2.2 84.10 6.1 Significant differences noticed release. The maximum percentage release was 96.6% scored formulation 7 (F7) minimum 69.8% recorded 9 (F9).  conclusion, contained high gave promising results are recommended be used applications.
