摘要: Abstract The iodine/iodide/water and acetic acid/water systems have been used to study adsorption by characterized activated polyvinylidene chloride carbons an coconut charcoal. adsorbents were in terms of micropore volume effective surface area as provided the Dubinin theory adsorption. It was found that iodine is not restricted monolayer coverage filling transitional porosity occurred. correct isotherm must employ free concentration total concentration. effect iodide upon extent can then be predicted. Radioactive studies suggest adsorbed species I 2 ionic species. Acetic acid cannot realistically measure areas or internal pore volumes.
