摘要: Osteoporosis is a skeletal disease characterized by decreased bone mass and microarchitectural changes in tissue that increase the susceptibility to fracture. Secondary osteoporosis loosely defined as low mineral density or increased risk of fragility fracture caused any factor other than aging postmenopausal status. The purpose this review discuss current understanding pathophysiology contribution many more common causes secondary osteoporosis, well diagnostic considerations, outlined organ system. While not comprehensive, included are wide array diseases, conditions, medications have been associated with loss fractures. hope highlight importance general clinician screening for treating these patients, so limit resultant morbidity
