摘要: Antihistamines (histamine H1 receptor antagonists) are a mainstay treatment for atopic allergy, yet they only partially effective in relieving the symptoms of disease. They also have very limited value asthma, despite well-characterized bronchoconstrictory effects histamine. The recent discovery fourth histamine (H4), and realization that it is exclusively expressed on hematopoietic cell types most implicated development symptomatology allergy suggests pharmacological targeting H4 receptor, either alone or combination with antagonists, may prove useful treating both asthma. Here we review known biology associated as well highly selective antagonist.
