摘要: We reviewed six free flap reconstructions of the weight-bearing surface heel. Patients were seen for clinical evaluation at a mean follow-up 4.7 years (range 2.7-6.0 years). Functional results using modified Boston Children's Hospital Ankle Score 33% excellent, good, 17% fair, and poor. The excellent functional related to absence chronic draining ulcers. All flaps lacked protective sensation by Semmes-Weinstein monofilament testing. Weightbearing plantar pressures in elevated all patients. Sequential radiographs from time coverage revealed development bony protuberance (stalactite) projecting undersurface calcaneus patients with injuries cortex calcaneus. In ulceration, these stalactites projected into ulcer site maximum pressure. A combination loss calcaneal integrity, pressure concentrations, insensitivity appear causally heel ulceration outcome.
