摘要: Abstract While prior research considers project complexity as a double-edged sword, researchers and practitioners still remain unclear whether serves productive or counterproductive ingredient for performance. Our brings clarity on the dynamic nature of complexity-performance relationship by integrating social exchange theory with recent developments in management to develop test novel framework involving interactive roles skills political software-projects. Regardless calls further empirical studies, have predominantly neglected fundamental role human efforts interaction outlining performance particularly complex projects. Drawing survey based sample 242 managers use variance structural equation modeling, findings illuminate theoretical practical contributions better understanding complexities software-projects In addition, prioritizing human-centric factors i.e. supporting complexity- enhances this research.
