摘要: Sex-lethal (Sxl) encodes the master regulator of sex determination pathway in Drosophila and acts by controlling identity both soma germ line. In females Sxl maintains its own expression alternative splicing mRNA. Here, we identify a novel gene, spenito (nito) that SPEN family protein. Loss nito activity results stem cell tumors female line as well female-to-male somatic transformations. We show Nito is ubiquitous nuclear protein controls mRNA interacting with pre-mRNA, suggesting it directly involved auto-regulation. Given proteins are frequently mutated cancers, our suggest these factors might be implicated tumorigenesis through regulation.
