Phylogroups, virulence determinants and antimicrobial resistance in stx2 gene-carrying Escherichia coli isolated from aquatic environments

摘要: The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence antibiotic-resistant stx2 gene-carrying Escherichia coli isolated from human and animal wastewater with regard their animal/human origin, serotype, phylogenetic background virulence factors. isolates were characterized by PCR in relation stx variant, group other genes (stx1, ehxA saa). Antibiotic resistance found 92% E. strains, 77% showing intermediate or full more than one antibiotic. High levels observed chloramphenicol, tetracycline, sulfamethoxazole, streptomycin, trimethoprim, trimethoprim + values 79%, 69%, 63%, 58%, 47% 42%, respectively, a higher among those strains wastewater. There no association between serotype and/or phylogroup antimicrobial profile displayed. However, carrying gene variant alone combination factors saa gene) susceptible most tested antibiotics.
