摘要: The quality of sediments collected from two areas the Spanish coast affected by different sources contaminants has been compared in this study. studied are Galicia oil spill tanker Prestige (November 2002) and Gulf Cadiz which suffers continuous inputs industries located area spills. Contamination several chemicals (metals, PCBs PAHs) that bind to was analyzed, toxicity tests (Microtox® amphipod 10-day bioassay) were conducted. PAHs identified as compounds responsible for toxic effects. Results show differences between an acute impact related sinking chronic associated with spills maritime industrial activities Bay Algeciras, being most polluted part coastal work.
