摘要: Potted, one-year old Chambourcin grapevines were grown with one, three, or six shoots in the absence of fruit to determine impact increasing early-season leaf area on dry weight accumulation throughout growing season. No was retained so role vegetative sinks could be more carefully studied. Very few differences found for various organs (roots, trunks, shoots, and leaves) among three treatments. Six-shoot vines had greater shoot just after bud burst, but at veraison harvest, there an inverse, linear relationship between number weight. Three- six-shoot total canopy weights (leaves + shoots) harvest only. Total plant positively related three- having about 20% than one-shoot vines. detected vine any other time during While not large, numbers affected morphology. Specific decreased as increased, per unit increased. Additionally, ratio cane fresh perennial storage tissues inversely number. This supports hypothesis that are questionable value when used estimate cropping capacity minimally pruned
