摘要: Background and Aims Vineyards, one of the most widespread agricultural systems, have significant but scarcely evaluated carbon sequestration potential. Allometry is a cost-effective approach to estimate plant biomass, few studies – focused mainly on permanent structure fixation dealt with it in grapevine. This study develops allometric models that accurately grapevine standing biomass (total vine at harvest), using extensive field-collected data sets. Methods Results Data were obtained vineyards located Spanish regions representative variability found warm semi-arid Mediterranean regions. We developed validated functions for all organs. The estimated fixed by each organ separately even more whole scale. To illustrate potential models, they satisfactorily assessed influence seasonal water status production partitioning an independent set. Conclusions Significance Study The constitute powerful tool determine non-destructive manner from simple measurements, which makes them suitable quantifying stocks allocation patterns, evaluating climate or cultural practices large scale better regional international level contribution culture CO2 balances.
