摘要: Bacterial superantigens can bind TCR in the absence of MHC class II molecules and activate T lymphocytes when cocultured with certain II-deficient accessory cells. It has not been determined, however, whether these cells provide direct costimulation to cell or serve present via a nonconventional ligand. We have identified human adenocarcinoma line, SW480, that assists activation by staphylococcal enterotoxins B (SEB), C1 (SEC1), D (SED), but SEA, SEC2, SEC3, SEE. SW480 did express molecules, anti-class mAbs inhibit proliferation, supporting hypothesis is absolutely required for enterotoxin-mediated activation. The Vβ profile stimulated SEB plus was similar + APC, indicating TCR-SEB interactions were preserved molecules. Binding studies failed detect specific association cells, suggesting do receptors enterotoxin. coupled beads, only presence both ICAM-1 LFA-3 addition Abs inhibited proliferation. These findings support model which engage independent other presenting induce proliferation signals provided
