摘要: Abstract Intracellular trafficking regulates the distribution of transmembrane proteins including key determinants epithelial polarity and adhesion. The Adaptor Protein 1 (AP-1) complex is regulator vesicle sorting, which binds a large number specific cargos. We examined roles AP-1 in morphogenesis, using Drosophila wing as paradigm. found that knockdown leads to ectopic folds caused by defects integrins. This occurs concurrently with an increase apical cell area induction death due E-cadherin trafficking. discovered distinct pool localizes at Adherens Junctions, where it limits internalization from surface. Upon knockdown, accompanying hyperinternalization induces uncharacterised mechanism potential tumour-suppressive role. Simultaneously, cells expression compensatory maintain cell-cell
