摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on the effects of cortisol administration and adrenalectomy electrical activity brain. The succinate brain were investigated in rabbits with chronically implanted electrodes cortex, dorsal hippocampus, amygdala, septum, preoptic area, ventromedial hypothalamus, posterior midbrain reticular formation. Convulsive consisting high-amplitude spikes or delta waves was recorded hypothalamus a half to one hour following hormone injection. These seizures either remained localized spread other areas. Cortisol had no effect thresholds arousal produced by formation stimulation. An increase amplitude hypothalamic potentials evoked septal photic stimulation occurred administration. Also, increased neuronal recovery potentials.
