摘要: Abstract : An array of five surface moorings carrying meteorological and oceanographic instrumentation was deployed for a period two years beginning in June 1991 as part an Office Naval Research (ONR) funded Subduction experiment. Three eight month deployments were carried out. The mooring locations l8 deg N 34 W, 18 N, 22 25.5 29 33 W W. Two Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) three Scripps Oceanography (SIO) collected data, using 3-meter discus or 2-meter toroid buoy multiple Vector Measuring Current Meters (VMCMs), Acoustic Doppler Profiler (ADCP) Brancker temperature recorders (tpods). buoys Averaging Wind Recorder (VAWR) and, on four the moorings, Improved Meteorological (IMET) which measured wind speed direction, sea temperature, air short wave radiation, barometric pressure relative humidity. IMET also precipitation. VMCMs, ADCP tpods, placed at depths 1 m to 3500 m, oceanic velocities temperatures. This report presents data from WHOI Upper Ocean Processes Group (UOP) SIO Instrument Development (IDG) instruments contains summaries used, their depths, positions, deployment recovery times, return. Appendices contain information supplementary sets. (MM)
