摘要: Abstract Administration of single doses cyclophosphamide to pregnant rats on days 12–14 gestation (i.e. well after closure the neural tube) resulted in cranioschisis and exencephaly 100% fetuses observed at term. In these brain was covered by atrophic epidermis devoid skin appendages a highly vascular loose mesoderm without osseous skull vault meninges. There were obvious hemorrhages tissue ventricles. The thin walls distended ventricles showed breaks through which communicated with exterior cavities brain. choroid plexus had hypertrophied denuded neuroepithelium could be found Associated anomalies included edema, hemorrhage, exophthalmia, micrognathia, defects base, an increase basiocranio vertebral angle, reduction deformities limbs, etc. Chronological observations indicated progressive distension ventricular system A very high incidence consistency associated pathology validate point that this is excellent experimental model for investigating pathogenetic mechanisms serious malformations.
