摘要: Most mammalian microtubules disassemble at low temperatures, but some are cold stable. This probably has little to do with a need for cold-stable microtubules, reflects that certain populations of must be stabilized specific functions. There several routes by which achieve stability. Factors interact such as microtubule-associated proteins, STOPs (stable tubule only polypeptides), histones, and possibly capping factors, involved. Specific tubulin isotypes posttranslational modifications might also importance. More permanent stable can achieved bundling associations membranes, well assembly microtubule doublets triplets. is, however, not the explanation adaptation from poikilothermic animals, animals have all their adapted temperatures. All evidence so far suggests is intrinsic tubulins, it unknown whether depends on different amino acid sequences or modifications.
