摘要: We present the first unambiguous evidence of a broad (Gaussian width ∼330 eV) component iron K α fluorescent emission line in X-ray obscured narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxy, NGC 5506. This is main result spectroscopic monitoring campaign on this source, performed with XMM–Newton observatory between 2001 February and 2009 January. The lacks extreme redward skewness. If modelled relativistic component, profile consistent flat emissivity radial dependence (α 1.9). disc inclination ( 40 ◦ ) nominally larger than typically observed unobscured active galactic nuclei (AGNs), agreement most measurements broadened lines 2 galaxies. quality data allows us to decompose full emission-line complex, study its long-term (time-scales weeks yr) variability pattern. intensity neutral narrow Kα core remains constant during campaign. indicates that optically thick gas responsible for non-relativistic reprocessing primary AGN continuum 5506 probably located torus rather optical broad-line region.
