摘要: Abstract Three experiments assessed whether changes in rates of wheel running and lever pressing on a schedule wheel-running reinforcement were controlled by local or overall constraint the contingent response. In Experiment 1 rats responded response-initiated variable interval 15-s with as reinforcement. Overall (total revolutions session) was held constant at 600 while (revolutions per reinforcement) varied from 5 to 60 revolutions. Results showed that decreased decreased. 2, same schedule, but 10 revolutions) 100 800 no systematic variation constraint. 3, VI for 30 A 4.5-s interruption during (30 occurred after 5, 10, 15 manipulation total constant, before lever-pressing bitonic relationship Comparison results across demonstrates controls rate instrumental responding
