摘要: Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase (Alk) is a receptor tyrosine kinase expressed throughout the adult mammalian hippocampus. Recent studies in Drosophila and prior Caenorhabditis elegans have implicated Alk signaling learning neurogenesis. We studied roles of closely related Leukocyte Tyrosine (Ltk) learning, behavior In hippocampus, both receptors are dentate gyrus, CA1 CA3. To assess functional Ltk brain, we analyzed phenotypes mutant, mutant Alk/Ltk double-mutant mice compared to wild-type littermates. Similar Drosophila, found enhanced performance spatial memory mice. Also similar observed reduced neurogenesis associated with loss function. also report genetic interactions between respect behavioral measures such as activity, anxiety levels, retention memory.
