摘要: The directional movement of cells can be regulated by ATP, certain other nucleotides (e.g., ADP, UTP), and adenosine. Such regulation occurs for that are “professional phagocytes” neutrophils, macrophages, lymphocytes, microglia) undergo migration subsequent phagocytosis. Numerous cell types fibroblasts, endothelial cells, neurons, keratinocytes) also change motility in response to nucleotides, In this article, we review how adenosine modulate chemotaxis highlight the importance nucleotide- adenosine-regulated several types: microglia, cancer cells. We discuss difficulties conducting experiments drawing conclusions regarding ability professional non-professional phagocytes.
