摘要: Abstract 1. Isolated small intestines from rats and guinea pigs were perfused with solutions containing various concentrations of Na + (method Fisher Parsons ). Increasing amounts the cardiac glycoside convallatoxin added to perfusing in order differentiate effects concentration transport on absorption glucose, K Ca 2+ . 2. The intestinal processes rat resistent up 0.4 mM convallatoxin. 3. In pig, increasing caused an but proportional inhibition all determined. Therefore, spite reducing absolute rates ratios absorbed amounts, water: : glucose: , remained constant. By perfusion solution ratio substrate/Na was diminished. 4. passive diffusion urea across wall guinea-pig everted gut sac not influenced by 5. It is concluded experiments that cardiotonic steroids diminish inhibiting mechanism glucose/Na /Na are glycoside, wholly dependent lumen. Attempting a uniform interpretation these other authors' observations, hypothesis discussed which suggests cyclic permeability changes substrate-transporting membranes analogous those found excitable tissue membranes.
