Effect of pH-Responsive on the Dispersion of PVM/MA Grafted Carbon Black in Water and Waterborne Polyurethane

摘要: The pH-responsive polyelectrolyte, named poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic anhydride) (PVM/MA), was grafted onto the surface of carbon black (CB) by ultrasonically degraded method. effect pH on dispersion PVM/MA CB in water and waterborne polyurethane (WPU) studied. Particle size its transmission electron microscope images showed increasing suspension easily causes aggregates CB. Furthermore, scanning had better dispersibility than that untreated WPU emulsion or corresponding solid composite. When neutralized aqueous solution, compatibility between got poor. In addition, composite could be controlled through tuning resistance.
