摘要: DNA methyltransferase activity has been identified in crude extracts of Drosophila melanogaster pupae for the removal methyl groups from O-6 methylguanine appearing alkylated DNA. Additionally, N-7 and 3 methyladenine appear to uniquely susceptible that resides pupae. Consistent with this, tests detect glycosylase repair latter two modified bases was unsuccessful, even though a substantial loss these observed. Conversely, methylated purines not detected embryos. The dependent upon incubation temperature proportional amount protein added reaction mixtures. Results indicate group is attached during DNA, suggesting it similar O6-methylguanine-DNA other organisms. Although explanations are possible, inability suggests may rely on base excision or nonconventional basis
