Pseudomonas Bacteremia in a Community Teaching Hospital, 1980–1984

摘要: The epidemiologic characteristics, clinical course, and outcome of 96 episodes pseudomonas bacteremia occurring during 1980-1984 in a community teaching hospital are reviewed. male-to-female ratio for the patients involved was 1.9:1. mean age 64 years, 41 were greater than or equal to 70 years age. Sixty-two nosocomially acquired; nine acquired nursing homes. Twenty polymicrobial. respiratory genitourinary tracts most common sources bacteremia. Seven had splenectomies prior onset overall mortality 61%; attributable 48%. Statistically significant differences related underlying conditions portal entry.
