摘要: Chagas disease is a potentially fatal caused by the parasite Trypanosoma cruzi, which can in some cases affect central nervous system. The objective was to evaluate effect of aspirin (ASA) behavior mice infected with T. cruzi during acute phase. This an experimental study random assignation. Twenty four BALB/c were divided into groups six animals each as follows: only ASA (OA), before infection (BI), after (AI) and (OI). strain used for M/HOM/Bra/53/Y. An dose 100 mg/kg per day administered 72 h BI group same 48 h AI group. Mice open field test, mortality, brain histopathology evaluated. Data analyzed using ANOVA, chi square Kaplan-Meier long-rank survival analysis. In OA has similar results group, variables immobility escape. Also, displayed significantly higher rates micturition (p < 0.001) defecation compared groups. Mortality (p = 0.02). presence amastigotes tissues OI (p = 0.008). conclusion, administration seemed prevent behavioral changes induced infection, but it led accelerated mortality. highlighted potential importance pathways inhibited early hours cruzi.
