Brief Report: Odour Awareness in Young Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders

摘要: The elucidation of odour awareness in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is important. We compared the young ASD those typical development (TD) using Children’s Olfactory Behavior Everyday Life (COBEL) questionnaire, which a self-report measure that mainly assesses awareness. Forty-five boys (aged 5–6 years), including 20 and 25 TD children, participated this study. total COBEL score was lower than (p < 0.01). Moreover, significantly correlated VABS II (p < 0.05). Our results improve understanding ASD.
