摘要: Abstract The study of the physical properties alkali halide mixed crystals has been a subject wide interest in recent past. main aim this review is to provide survey current state knowledge about nature imperfections present and their role understanding various associated with crystals. An attempt made distinguish different types crystals, conditions for formation crystal, local strains that arise lattice due difference size ions constitute crystal. results obtained from studies such as ionic conductivity, dielectric loss, microhardness, radiation hardening, colour centres, thermoluminescence, optical absorption etc. on are presented. non-linear variation electrical half widths many centre bands composition have discussed terms concentration defects them. aspects problem described include: 1. a) Dislocation density distribution studies. 2. b) Influence dislocations grain boundaries transport these 3. c) Role microhardness. 4. d) Lesser rate hardening irradiation. 5. e) Stability centres comparison end products, finally position out look summarized.
