摘要: We investigated how preconditioning history and specimen recovery time affect the accuracy of measurements mechanical properties obtained from sequential, repeated materials testing porcine aortic valve (PAV) cusps. Strain protocols were modeled by quasilinear viscoelastic theory results compared with experimental data. Assuming that model was predictive, predicting data related to suitability protocol. found preconditioned state PAV material not unique but a function deformation had occurred before cycles. Preconditioning without an adequate rest period between tests increased predictive errors, whereas allowing reduced errors. Modeling more strain errors for specimens briefly rested no impact on long periods. The smallest loading protocol 24 h followed preconditioning. recommend use this estimating tissues. © 2000 Biomedical Engineering Society.
