PDCO: Polarizational-directional correlation from oriented nuclei

摘要: Abstract A general formula is given for correlation between two polarized gamma rays ( γ 1 and 2 ) emitted in a cascade from an oriented (for example, due to heavy ion reaction) nucleus. It allows us or one calculate the angular between: (a) Linear polarizations of . (b) Polarization direction vice versa. (c) Directions (DCO). The formula, discussed detail case (b), can be used analysis data coming modern multidetector ray spectrometers that contain new generation detectors (e.g. CLOVER) sensitive polarization. polarization together with DCO ratio lead unique spin/parity assignment mixing determination.
