摘要: The mud flats on the north and west parts of Bay Farm Island, Alameda County, California, are known as one major shorebird concentration areas in San Francisco region; and, although island has been visited frequently by ornithologists, to date no published an account seasonal variation abundance shorebirds there. For this reason these Island were censused for a year beginning July 1, 1948. In order learn something about habitat preferences species involved, area suitable was divided into ten numbers birds found each sub-area (fig. 1) recorded mimeographed census sheets. Some sub-areas attract few or consequently seldom visited.
