摘要: Dengue is an infectious disease caused by dengue virus (DENV). In general, a self-limiting acute febrile illness followed phase of critical defervescence, in which patients may improve or progress to severe form. Severe characterized hemodynamic disturbances, increased vascular permeability, hypovolemia, hypotension, and shock. Thrombocytopenia platelet dysfunction are common both cases related the clinical outcome. Different mechanisms have been hypothesized explain DENV-associated thrombocytopenia, including suppression bone marrow peripheral destruction platelets. Studies shown DENV-infected hematopoietic progenitors stromal cells. Moreover, anti-platelet antibodies would be involved as platelets interact with endothelial cells, immune and/or DENV. It not yet clear whether play role viral spread. Here, we focus on thrombocytopenia DENV infection. Because participate inflammatory response promoting cytokine, chemokine, mediator secretion, their relevance “immune-like effector cells” will discussed. Finally, implication for plasma leakage also regarded, associated outcome higher mortality.
