摘要: Summary Purpose The current narrative review covers original research related to imaging in osteoarthritis (OA) humans published English between April 1st 2015 and March 31st 2016, peer reviewed journals available Medline via PubMed (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/). Methods Relevant studies humans, subjectively decided by the authors, contributing significantly OA field, were selected from an extensive search using terms "Osteoarthritis" combination with "MRI", "Imaging", "Radiography", "X-rays", "Ultrasound", "Computed tomography", "Nuclear medicine", "PET-CT", "PET-MRI", "Scintigraphy", "SPECT". Publications sorted according relevance for community emphasis on high impact special interest software systematic reviews www.covidence.org. Results An overview of newly compared reported previous years is presented, followed a primarily knee, hip hand focussing (1) results detection OA-related pathology (2) dealing treatments (3) prognosis disease progression or joint replacement. A record number 1420 articles published, among others, new technologies tools improved morphological pathophysiological understanding changes joints. Also, data presented monitoring treatment effect progression, established radiographic, magnetic resonance (MRI), ultrasound (US) methods. Conclusion Imaging continues play an important role research, where several exciting computer aided analysis methods are emerging complement conventional approaches.
