摘要: We report the discovery of nearly coherent oscillations with a frequency ~567 Hz during type I X-ray bursts from transient and eclipsing binary X1658-298. If these are directly related to neutron star rotation, then spin period in X1658-298 is ~1.8 ms. The can be present rise or decay phase bursts. Oscillations show an increase ~0.5-1 Hz. However, one particular burst reappear at end about 571.5 This represents oscillation 5 Hz, which largest change seen so far oscillation. It unclear if such large accommodated by models used explain evolution oscillations. unusually soft compared found 567 also observed several detected much lower significance not all. Most happen periods dipping behavior, suggesting that might decrease amplitude (although complications exist this simple picture). discuss our framework interpretation.
