摘要: Aim: Alveolar soft part sarcoma is a very rare tumour. Nine cases are reviewed in order to identify new aspects of this tumour. Methods and results: The clinical course, histological, immunohistochemical ultrastructural features nine alveolar were reviewed. Proliferative activity p53 protein accumulation assessed immunohistochemically. The patients aged between 18 70 years. In the with sufficient follow-up, survival was variable two dying within 5 months four alive at 4 Histologically all tumours had an component but one case also spindle another pseudoglandular pattern. Six showed desmin immunoreactivity, muscle-specific actin positive, positive for S100 three vimentin. MIB-1 immunostaining seen up 35% cells. Two accumulation. Conclusions: There appeared be no correlation short term (4 years or less) presentation, adjuvant treatment, tumour size, histological grade, vascular invasion by tumour, proliferative index, accumulation. Although unusual, cell components can sarcoma.
