摘要: Abstract Large quantity (35 million tons) of coal bottom ash is produced by thermal power plants in India. The present method disposal on open land the main cause an environment hazard for surrounding community. As utilization can help alleviating environmental problems, thus work was done to explore possibility its use as sand replacement concrete manufacturing. Two types control mixtures develop 28 d compressive strength 38 MPa designated ‘A’ and 34 MPa ‘B’ were made with river sands having different fineness modulus. In both grades mixtures, replaced at 20, 30, 40, 50, 75 100% levels. Workability bleeding decreased fine aggregate. Test results show that splitting mixture did not changed significantly when modulus 1.97 ash. However, case ‘B’, used 2.58, tensile early curing age. After 90 d age, almost comparable mixture. Bottom displayed lower elasticity abrasion resistance compared Abrasion improved Pulse velocity through indicates good quality be either type sand.
