摘要: We have compared the nature of enkephalin-like material derived from proenkephalin present in intact cat adrenal gland with co-released catecholamines perfused response to splanchnic nerve stimulation and perfusions solutions containing acetylcholine (ACh) or high potassium chloride (KCl). In adrenals most was form large enkephalin-containing peptides. Free (met)enkephalin immunoreactivity represented only 25% total as determined by enzymatic digestion fragments. Electrical (15 Hz) perfusion ACh (0.1 mM) KCl (50 mM), applied for 10 min, induced an immediate release free immunoreactivity, (met)enkephalyl-arg-phe (met)enkephalin-containing The all three modes followed a pattern that paralleled output catecholamines. A rapid fatigue secretory processes developed during periods, similar observed During stimulation, each nanomole catecholamine accompanied 0.4 pmol 1.1 0.1 immunoreactivity. Analysis perfusate high-pressure liquid chromatography revealed (met)enkephalin, (met)enkephalyl-arg-gly-leu were released molar ratios 4 1 which is ratio found precursor, proenkephalin. same (approximately 2.7) two successive periods separated min. When evoked increasing K+ concentration 50 mM-KCl, this increased more than twofold obtained electrical nerve. gel filtration showed that, 47% eluted fractions fragments low molecular weight. used stimulus 12% these fractions. results indicate peptides depends on type evoke release.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 400 WORDS)
