摘要: According to the current treatment protocol of Cooperative Osteosarcoma Study (COSS), monitoring preoperative chemotherapy response and estimating grade tumor regression in patients with osteosarcoma is mandatory before surgical removal tumor, particularly if a limb salvage procedure intended. In addition, neoadjuvant considered as an important prognostic indicator. The aim this prospective study was assess usefulness 2-(18F) fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (FDG) PET noninvasive evaluation osteosarcoma. Methods: 27 osteosarcoma, we determined tumor-to-background ratios (TBRs) FDG uptake PET, after according COSS 86c or 96 protocols, respectively. We compared changes glucose metabolism osteosarcomas histologic resected specimen, Salzer-Kuntschik, discriminating responders (grades I–III; n = 17) nonresponders IV–VI; 10). Results: decrease expressed ratio posttherapeutic pretherapeutic TBRs showed close correlation amount necrosis induced by polychemotherapy (P
