摘要: A case is reported of acute intracranial subdural haematoma following accidental dural puncture during epidural anaesthesia. 36-year-old primigravida with a gestation 37 weeks and 3 days underwent caesarean section for which anaesthesia was initially planned. An 18-gauge Tuohy needle inserted into the L3-4 interspace but occurred. The removed general initiated surgery. On second day post partum, patient described headache in both occipital area neck that relieved by lying down. seventh post-partum she suffered tonic-clonic convulsions computerised tomography (CT). Despite different analgesic treatments normal CT, severe headaches days. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed 4-mm hematoma right frontal area. persisting decreased on 12 disappeared 14. discharged from hospital 15. presence complicated atypical neurological deterioration should prompt anaesthetist to consider existence complications seek immediate clinical radiological diagnosis.
