摘要: To understand how function arises from the interactions between neurons, it is necessary to use methods that allow monitoring of brain activity at single-neuron, single-spike level and targeted manipulation diverse neuron types selectively in a closed-loop manner. Large-scale recordings neuronal spiking combined with optogenetic perturbation identified individual neurons has emerged as suitable method for such tasks behaving animals. fully exploit potential power these methods, multiple steps technical innovation are needed. We highlight current state art electrophysiological recording optogenetics, discuss directions progress. In addition, we point areas where rapid development progress topics near-term improvements possible
