摘要: Patterns of co-occurrence were examined among the suite species arboreal marsupials that inhabit montane ash forests Central Highlands Victoria, southeastern Australia. The data used in our analyses counts different derived from stagwatching surveys 152 sites throughout region. Our work investigated both number tend to occur together, as well identity taxa such associations. A total eight recorded field forests: Leadbeater's Possum (Gymnobelideus leadbeateri), Sugar Glider (Petaurus breviceps), Yellow-bellied australis), Greater (Petauroides volans), Mountain Brushtail (Trichosurus caninus), Feathertail (Acrobates pygmaeus), Common Ringtail (Pseudocheirusperegrinus), and Eastern Pygmy (Cercartetus nanus). Large assemblages rare no supported full array marsupials– maximum on a given 3 ha site was five. results indicated if any one present at site, then average 1. 5 other will co-inhabit site. exception Possum. When this detected, few marsupial tended be with it. Principal Co-ordinates Analysis showed although combinations animals comprised either Possum, or often recorded, there strong patterns identities co-occurring taxa. This finding, together result most these typically co-occurred two species, indicates none inhabiting Victoria would good surrogate for (or ‘indicator’ of), presence assemblage.
